M1070 HET Wrecker 30 Ton 8x8

This Oshkosh M1070 HET started life as a military Heavy Equipment Transporter before being converted into an absolutely massive 8x8 heavy recovery wrecker. Powered by a Detroit Diesel 8V-92TA 12.06L turbo diesel producing 500 HP and backed by an Allison 5-speed automatic, it retains the M1070's heavy-duty drivetrain and serious recovery capability.

The original fifth-wheel setup has been replaced with a custom 30-ton wrecker bed featuring twin factory 55,000-lb hydraulic winches plus twin 20,000-lb boom winches—four winches in total. Upgraded 24R21 Michelin tires complete the setup.

Built on one of the military's most formidable heavy transport platforms, this is a purpose-built recovery machine with massive capability and an unmistakable presence.
